Colorado Players Watch Nebraska Media Interviews To Find Motivation In Rivalry Game

Saturday’s heated rivalry game pits the Colorado Buffaloes against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Last season, the Huskers made things “personal” before losing 36-14.

Shedeur Sanders took offense to some comments made about his father prior to the match. That resulted in a disrespectful meeting at midfield, during which the quarterback furiously flashed his luxury watch in opponents’ faces.

Colorado Players Watch Nebraska Interviews To Stay Motivated

When all was said and done, the bulletin board content gave the Buffs an extra incentive to defeat their opponents. Colorado appears to be seeking for similar inspiration this time!

Jimmy Horn, a star wide receiver, spoke to the media after practice on Thursday. He says he has been watching Nebraska player interviews in preparation for the game.

All respect was gone': Colorado players take Nebraska pregame moment personally

Horn is presumably referring to a few statements from Cornhusker linebacker Mikai Gbayor that went viral this week. One appeared to be a jab at the Buffs’ starting quarterback, which would presumably irritate any pass receiver.

Another noticed Gbayor’s willingness to pound Colorado ball carriers, daring the Buffs to double team him – or else!

Gbayor anticipates the Cornhuskers to show their strength on defense, where they may have an advantage over Colorado’s offensive line.

Jimmy Horn has heard what has been said, and he plans to make the linebacker look dumb on Saturday.

Matt Rhule and Deion Sanders’ preparation for Year 2 has been less hectic than it was in September of last year. With the game swiftly approaching, both teams have been relatively complimentary this week.

That being said, there has been some trash talk. There wouldn’t be a rivalry without it!

This weekend, we’ll see who leaves Lincoln with a win and who regrets their remarks.
