A Team transfer latest: Giant striker leaves after third loan spell since joining Terriers

HUDDERSFIELD Town striker Kyle Hudlin has joined League Two club Newport County on loan until January, his third loan move since joining the Terriers.

The 6ft 9ins attacker, who joined Town from Solihull Moors in the summer of 2022, signed on loan at AFC Wimbledon in the first half of 2022-23 to gain quick EFL experience before returning to West Yorkshire in early 2023.

Hudlin received a contract extension with the club until 2026 during Neil Warnock’s tenure last summer after excelling in pre-season and scoring in his first competitive game for Town, when he came on as a substitute to score in the EFL Cup fixture with Middlesbrough on August 20, 2023.

The Midlander, 24, went on to make nine Championship appearances, including two starts, in the first half of 2023-24 before being loaned to Burton Albion in January.

He was among a clutch of periphery players who were not given a squad number earlier this summer, and he has now been permitted to leave the club again on a temporary basis.
