Falcons receive great news on A star Prayer injury

With the loss to the Chiefs, the Falcons also saw a pair of starting offensive linemen go down with injuries. Though Atlanta is in wait-and-see mode with Drew Dalman, they received great news on Kaleb McGary.

Despite spraining his MCL, Jordan Schultz reports that the Falcons’ starting right tackle avoided a significant injury and further testing revealed that he’ll be considered day to day.

That is the best possible outcome for McGary and the Falcons. With three straight division matchups looming, Atlanta needs to be healthy, and the offensive line is the one place they cannot afford an injury.

It is already a thin position across the league, and without two starters, the Falcons would’ve limped into NFC South contests against the Saints and Bucs. Thankfully, it seems McGary may not even miss one game, let alone multiple.

Drew Dalman is also getting more testing for his high ankle sprain, although an IR stint is possible. That would make Dalman ineligible for the next four games against the Saints, Buccaneers, Panthers, and Seahawks – three division games and an NFC battle that might be crucial in the NFC Wild Card race.

We’ll wait to hear more about Drew Dalman, but we’ll gladly accept the positive news about Kaleb McGary.
