Real Madrid NewsReal Madrid defender reacts after receiving a taste of his own medicine from teammates
Antonio Rudiger, a Real Madrid defender, has gone viral for jovially slapping his teammates during goal celebrations.
Kylian Mbappe, Endrick, Jude Bellingham, and many other players have taken knocks from the German international.
Rudiger, on the other hand, received a taste of his own medicine Friday night during Los Blancos’ 3-1 UEFA Champions League victory over VfB Stuttgart.
With the game poised 1-1, the defender headed home a Luka Modric corner kick to give his team the lead, and several of his teammates took revenge on the German by slapping and hitting him after he scored.
Endrick, Mbappe, and Eder Militao all took some blows as Rudiger received the same treatment he gives to his teammates.
Rudiger discussed the incident in the mixed zone after the match, noting that he was thrilled with the goal and was also happy to accept his teammates’ slaps, though he did offer a caution to them, saying:
“If I score more goals, they can keep hitting me, but they’ll score more goals than me and I’ll be there.”
Like Thibaut Courtois and Rodrygo, Rudiger also praised Endrick for his self-confidence and belief which shone through his late goal against Stuttgart, saying:
“Endrick… no Endrick, Bobby has a lot of personality. Thank God he scored the goal, otherwise there would be problems.

Ex-Real Madrid star praises Courtois as ‘the Maradona, Messi, and Cristiano of goalkeeping’
Real Madrid defeated VfB Stuttgart 3-1 on Tuesday night in their first UEFA Champions League match of the 2024/25 season at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Goals by new signings Kylian Mbappe and Endrick on either side of an Antonio Rudiger goal sealed the victory for Los Blancos, but Thibaut Courtois was the actual MVP for the reigning champions.
Indeed, the Belgian shot-stopper was at his best, stopping a barrage of Bundesliga shots to keep his team in the game.
