Tom Rennie has informed West Ham United that Konstantinos Mavropanos has “got to go” for what he did against Fulham.
Julen Lopetegui’s team earned a vital point at Craven Cottage on Saturday (15 September), with Danny Ings scoring late on to cancel out Raul Jimenez’s first-half strike.
While Max Kilman was chastised for his role in Fulham’s opener, talkSPORT host Rennie ripped into Mavropanos, claiming that the Greece international is “nowhere near Premier League quality”.
He wrote on X on Saturday (September 14): “Mavrapanos again. Too deep. Does not return at the same pace. Does not obstruct the cross.
“Sorry, but he has to go. “Nowhere near Premier League quality.”
West Ham’s Konstantinos Mavropanos could be leaving the London Stadium.
Mavropanos’ frequent appearances under Lopetegui in the early stages of the season have been surprising, especially given the former Real Madrid manager’s desire to overhaul David Moyes’ defence.

Jean-Clair Todibo has yet to get a sniff in the Premier League following his summer move from Nice, with the Greece international keeping him out of the starting lineup week after week.
While it would be unjust to blame him entirely for Fulham’s opening on Saturday, he was late to return to position and failed to get anywhere near the cross that found Jimenez in the penalty area.
It’s not the first time he’s made a mistake like this while wearing a claret and blue shirt. For the most part, the 26-year-old has been reliable at West Ham. However, when he makes mistakes, the consequences are usually severe.
Suggesting that he deserves to be sold after the draw with Marco Silva’s team may be a step too far, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Todibo replaced him in the starting XI against Chelsea next week.
