The Curva Sud, AC Milan’s most ardent fan base, has declared intentions for a protest ahead of the forthcoming match against Venezia. Fans are upset with the team’s lackluster start to the current season, which they say reminds them of the troubles at the end of the previous season.
The Curva Sud issued a forceful statement criticizing Milan’s “embarrassing spectacle” in its first three matches of the season. They proclaimed that there are no more excuses or scapegoats, and demanded that everyone at the club accept responsibility for their terrible performance.
Fans are particularly concerned that the current challenges resemble those observed at the close of the previous season, both in terms of dismal results and apparent difficulties in managing the squad.
To express their dissatisfaction, the group has called for all Milan fans to meet at 6:45 PM in front of the team bus access ramp prior to the Venezia match. Their purpose is to send a strong message to the club’s management, coaches, and players that September is a critical turning point in the season. Statement in full:
“The start of the season of our Milan has been to say the least disappointing, to the point that it seems to relive the end of the season just passed.”
“Our aspirations are not this; nothing and no one can justify the awful display of the first three games. No more extenuating circumstances or lightning rods for anyone; everyone must take their own.
“We invite all Rossoneri fans to gather at 18.45 in front of the bus entrance ramp to remind the club, coach, and players that September is already a critical juncture in our season! With Milan always in our hearts!”
The demonstration comes at a time when tensions around the club are high, with Paulo Fonseca’s last news conference failing to assuage supporters’ fears. As Milan prepares for a vital run of games, pressure is building at all levels of the organization to turn things around and satisfy the fans’ enormous expectations.
