The West Ham striker curse may not be true after all, according to a top board insider who has shared the results of Niclas Fullkrug’s medical test.

West Ham were left regretting their bad luck with striker signings once more after news broke that Niclas Fullkrug had withdrew from the Germany camp this week.

Fullkrug returned to West Ham early after what Sky Sports Germany termed as ‘Achilles tendon and calf concerns’.

Julen Lopetegui suffered a severe blow, leaving him reliant on the elderly and injury-prone Michail Antonio and flop Danny Ings for the foreseeable future.

Antonio had just played for Jamaica in the early hours of the morning, complicating matters even more.

The Hammers have a crucial and winnable game against Fulham in just three days.
