Ferrari has struggled for form in recent tournaments, with Charles Leclerc’s last podium coming in Monaco.
Following Friday’s practice, Charles Leclerc emphasized the difficulty of comprehending the Spa-Francorchamps pecking order.
Leclerc finished the second practice session in fourth place, over four-tenths behind session leader Lando Norris.
Ferrari has recently dropped down the F1 pecking order, finishing fourth in the last few race weekends.
After the first day of practice, Leclerc confesses he is still unsure of his team’s exact situation at Spa.
“It was a very difficult day to understand to be honest, there was a lot of difference in pace, different conditions, different tyres as well,” remarked the driver.
“Everybody had a different idea. It’s been a few years, but the picture on Friday with this generation of car is still tough to fathom. Today, it is even more so.
However, the Monegasque driver admitted that there is still a distance to McLaren, which surpassed Ferrari in the constructors’ title last time out in Hungary.
