Leicester City look to sign Juventus’ forward for £21 million

Leicester City’s Transfer Ambitions: A New Era Under Steve Cooper Leicester’s New Bid for Matias Soule Leicester City are making waves in the transfer market with a fresh £21 million bid for Juventus winger Matias Soule. This renewed offer signals the club’s commitment to strengthening their squad under new head coach Steve Cooper. According to The Telegraph, the deal includes an initial £17 million payment with an additional £4 million contingent on instalments and appearances for the 21-year-old Argentina under-20 international.

Cooper’s pursuit of Soule follows a series of strategic signings, including the £13 million acquisition of Caleb Okoli, who spent last season on loan at Frosinone. Okoli’s connection with Soule from their time in Serie B could ensure a smooth transition if the trade goes through.

Cooper, who took over as manager last month after Enzo Mariska left for Chelsea, has already signed numerous new players. The £30 million sale of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea has freed up finances, allowing the club to sign former Fulham forward Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Chelsea’s teenage midfielder Michael Golding. Leicester also finalized a £14 million agreement to sign Abdul Fatawu, who was previously on loan at Sporting.

Forward options and tactical flexibility.
Cooper is looking to add another forward to Leicester’s squad ahead of their Premier League start against Tottenham on August 19. Soule, recognized for his versatility in offensive positions, would be an excellent alternative to Jamie Vardy, Tom Cannon, and Patson Daka.

Roma’s interest in Soule points to a robust struggle for the young talent, but Leicester’s aggressive attitude puts them in a great position. The Telegraph reports that Leicester is now “understood to be in the driving seat.”
