Marcelo Gaming’s sports betting operator is no longer taking bets.
US.- Marcelo Gaming’s Sahara Bets has declared on its website and social media channels that it will no longer accept wagers in the United States. The announcement follows the sale of the firm’s NHL partner, the Arizona Coyotes.
The business urged gamblers to withdraw monies from their accounts before August 8. Wagering will stay open for the next 30 days to give time for previously placed bets to settle.
Marcelo Gaming, an affiliate of the Sahara Las Vegas and Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada, and the Arizona Coyotes have announced that Sahara Bets will operate in Arizona in 2022.
Arizona sports betting handle exceeds $656.3 million in April.
Arizona’s sports betting handle was $656.3 million in April, up 14% from March ($759.8 million) and a 22.5% increase over April 2023. The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) revealed that the state had earned $4.3 million in privilege fees.
The ADG has stated that it will accept event wagering applications from July 8 to July 19. It will award at least one sports betting license each for Arizona tribes and Arizona sports teams.
