The Columbus Blue Jackets will play an eight-game preseason schedule, including four home games at Nationwide Arena, before the 2024-25 National Hockey League season, the team announced Monday. Columbus will play home and away games against the Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues, and Washington Capitals.
The Blue Jackets begin preseason play on Monday, September 23, when they host the Sabres at KeyBank Center. On Wednesday, September 25, Columbus will face St. Louis at Nationwide Arena to begin its preseason home schedule. During the 2024 preseason, the team plays three games on consecutive days, including a home-and-home series versus the Penguins at Nationwide Arena on Thursday, October 3 and PPG Paints Arena on Friday, October 4. All home preseason games begin at 7 p.m. ET.
