Terrance Brooks, a former Texas cornerback, has declared his commitment to Illinois. The 6-foot, 190-pound cornerback will have two seasons of eligibility left.
Brooks appeared in 23 career games for the Longhorns, including 19 starts, over two seasons. Over the past two seasons, he has made 29 tackles, three interceptions, and nine pass breakups.
This season, he was named an honorable mention All-Big 12 player after producing 20 total tackles, three interceptions, and nine pass breakups. He was a vital member of the Texas secondary as the Longhorns made the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.
Brooks signed with Texas as a five-star talent from Little Elm, Texas. According to On3, he is the 24th overall prospect and the 3rd best cornerback in the 2022 class. He was also ranked as the No. 2 cornerback and No. 6 player in Texas.
