On Wednesday, a former Baltimore Ravens player and New Orleans Saints starter announced their retirement from the NFL. The notification comes one day before the start of the 2024 NFL Draft, leaving the Saints little time to prepare for the loss of their starting offensive lineman.

Every year of doing this sport has been a blessing from God. Football, and the people surrounding it, have played an important role in developing me into the person I am today. Twenty-four of my thirty-two years have been devoted practicing for and playing this game, so

Hurst played in 150 games during his ten-year NFL career. During his four seasons with the Saints, he started 51 games, 15 of which came in 2023. The Saints have been said to be considering trading up to acquire an offensive lineman. That makes sense, given that they’re losing a crucial player for 2024.
