On Wednesday evening, Chris Beard’s transfer portal momentum remained positive.
The Ole Miss Rebels’ roster rebuilding continues, as head coach Chris Beard secured another transfer portal commitment on Wednesday evening, this time from former Virginia Tech Hokies guard Sean Pedulla.
Pedulla is Beard and company’s sixth portal commitment since April 13, joining Mikeal Brown-Jones (F), Malik Dia (F), Dre Davis (G), and Davon Barnes (G). He has been with the Hokies for three seasons, but his most successful campaign in Blacksburg was the 2023-24 season.
This season, Pedulla averaged 16.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists while shooting 42.4 percent from the field. He also has a career 3-point percentage of 35.5.
In 2023-24, he scored more than 25 points in a single game six times, including 33 against Miami and 32 against Clemson. He attended Virginia Tech after a successful prep career at Memorial High School in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he received a three-star ranking from 247 and was ranked as the state’s No. 2 recruit in the 2021 class.
