Breaking News:When and where will the New York Jets pick during the three-day NFL draft?
The NFL Draft begins Thursday night, with the New York Jets making their first pick at number 10 overall. Here’s a complete list of their scheduled picks for the three-day event.
Will Georgia tight end Brock Bowers be available at number 10 overall? Will the New York Jets insure their two 33-year-old offensive tackles?
Those and other questions will be resolved during the 2024 NFL Draft, which takes place from April 25 to April 27.
“I think we’re in a good spot, excited about next week, and we definitely have 10 players that we’re excited to take, so we’re ready to roll,” Jets general manager Joe Douglas said during an April 19 press conference in Florham Park.
Beginning with the No. 10 overall pick on Thursday night, New York plans to make seven selections during the duration of the 257-pick event. Following Thursday’s first-round selection, the Jets will not make another pick until Friday at No. 72 overall. Last spring, New York traded for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, giving up this year’s second-round pick.
The Jets have five picks on Day 3, including the final pick in the draft (No. 257 overall). New York will end the three-day proceedings by drafting “Mr. Irrelevant” as a compensatory selection.
The NFL Draft will be shown live on television beginning Thursday, April 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Friday’s programming, which covers Rounds 2 and 3, begins at 7:00 p.m. ET. Rounds 4–7 will take place on Saturday, commencing at 12:00 pm ET. The NFL Network and ESPN will broadcast the event live.
