New York Giants

The Giants are set to generate $10.5 million in salary cap flexibility by parting ways with inside Running back Matt Breida Campbell this Wednesday.

The New York Giants have been actively assessing the top quarterback prospects in the upcoming 2024 draft class, but their current quarterback, Daniel Jones, remains unfazed by the speculation. Speaking to reporters on Monday as he reported for the start of New York’s voluntary offseason program, Jones acknowledged the team’s exploration of adding a young quarterback. He drew parallels between his situation and the uncertainty faced by former Giants running back Saquon Barkley regarding his future with the franchise.

Reflecting on the competitive nature of the NFL, Jones emphasized the importance of focusing on his own performance and readiness to play at his best. Despite the potential for the Giants to select a quarterback early in the draft, Jones remains focused on his own development and preparation.

With the Giants holding the No. 6 pick in the first round, there’s speculation about the team’s draft strategy, including the possibility of selecting LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers, as predicted by B/R’s NFL Scouting Department in their latest mock draft.

Jones, currently rehabilitating from a torn ACL that limited his playing time to six games in 2023, expressed optimism about his progress, aiming to be fully prepared for training camp. Throughout his career, Jones has faced challenges in establishing himself as a franchise quarterback, but he remains confident in his abilities.

When asked about his belief in being the best option for the Giants, Jones responded affirmatively, asserting his confidence in his role with the team.
