Scott Drinkwater has clinched his inaugural Paul Bowman Medal at the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Presentation Night.

In the voting for Cowboys Player of the Year, Drinkwater secured 19 points, edging out Tom Dearden by four points, who garnered 15 points. Reuben Cotter and Jake Granville trailed with 12 points each.

Drinkwater had a standout season in 2023, achieving career-best performances across various attacking metrics. He notched up 11 tries, 25 try assists, 14 line breaks, 3,304 running metres, and 96 tackle breaks throughout the season.

The complete list of winners includes James Tamou as the Club Person of the Year, Wil Sullivan receiving the Young Guns Cowboys Way Award, Kirra Dibb and Reuben Cotter as the Townsville Bulletin Fan Choice Players of the Year, and Reuben Cotter earning the JCU Education Award. Fran Goldthorp and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki were named Rookies of the Year, while Emma Manzelmann and Scott Drinkwater were voted Players’ Player of the Year. China Polata and Jordan McLean were awarded the Cowboy Way Award, and Emma Manzelmann was honored as the Cowboy of the Year alongside Scott Drinkwater, who clinched the prestigious Paul Bowman Medal.
